The Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid qualification is designed to teach you the skills required to identify when someone is experiencing a mental health issue and offer first aid.

Course Description

Upon enrolling, learners start with access to:
• all online course material
• online worksheets
• practice online theory exam
• ability to book onto an in-person training day

The course covers:
• What is mental health
• Identifying mental health conditions
• First aid action for mental health
• Mental health in the workplace
• Mental health helplines
• Anxiety
• Self-harm
• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
• Suicide
• Personality disorders
• Psychosis
• Schizophrenia
• Stress

To complete the course, learners will:
• Complete as home study the online course material and worksheets.
• Complete the Practice Online Theory Assessment consisting of 30 multiple choice questions.
• Book onto and attend the Mental Health First Aid Training Day. This is a 1-day training held either in person or over Zoom, which helps consolidate the online learning and practice applying a mental health first aid action plan.
• Pass the Summative Online Theory Assessment consisting of 30 multiple choice questions.
