The First Aid at Work training course, which conforms with HSE guidance, provides a comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces, giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations.

On this First Aid at Work course, you will learn:

• Managing an Incident
• Recognition of Minor Illnesses

• Responsibilities of Employers & Employees
• Recognition and management of major illnesses

• Causes and care of the unconscious casualty

• Disorders of the Airway
• Infection Control
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Eye Injuries, Poisoning & Miscellaneous Injuries

• Wounds, Bleeding & Shock
• Manage the Transportation of a Casualty

• Burns & Scalds

• Record Keeping & Accident Reporting
• Anaphylaxis

• Chest Injuries

• Head injuries
• Asthma
• Diabetes

• HeartAttack / Angina
• Practical demonstration and use of an AED

This is a blended learning qualification, equivalent to the full 3-day First Aid at Work. To achieve your certificate, you will be required to successfully complete an in-persontraining and assessment day as well as an online theory course.

You will have 6 months to complete your course from the date of enrolment, otherwise extension fees may apply.
